Ingredients for Preparing Pickled Grapes for the Winter

  1. Grapes (preferably large) 800-1000 grams
  2. Water 700 milliliters
  3. Wine vinegar 100 milliliters
  4. Sugar (preferably brown) 300 grams
  5. Salt 10 grams
  6. Cloves 8 grams
  7. Cinnamon 1-2 sticks

Glass jars with lids, stewpan, colander, kitchen knife, cutting board, large pot, dishcloth, kitchen scissors.

Cooking pickled grapes for the winter:

Step 1: Prepare the grapes.


Fold the grapes in a colander and rinse thoroughly with warm running water. After leaving it for some time on weight to allow excess fluid to escape.
Break the washed grapes, and disassemble. You can use a pair of scissors to cut them and divide them into small brushes of 3-4 grapes, or it is better to completely remove all twigs by tearing them out.
Important: you can pickle any grape variety, regardless of its color, size and whether they have pits inside, but most beautifully produce large grapes of a dark color.

Step 2: pickle the grapes.


Arrange the prepared spices in clean glass jars: mustard sticks and cloves. After the top, carefully spread the grapes prepared a little earlier.
In a stewpan, prepare the marinade. To do this, boil clean water and completely dissolve sugar and salt in a boiling liquid without ceasing to cook. When everything is dissolved, the marinade can be removed from the heat and pour vinegar into it, and then mix well.
Pour the resulting marinade into jars of grapes and spices.

Step 3: Harvest the pickled grapes for the winter.


Cover the filled cans with a lid and put in a large pot with hot water. At the same time, water should cover the cans 2/3 of their height, and the bottom of the pan should be covered with a kitchen towel or a thick cloth. Put it all on fire and sterilize. In this case, banks 0.5 liter should be sterilized total 20 minutesvolume 1 liter - 30 minutes, but two- and three liter - 30-40 minutes.
After sterilization, the jars with harvested grapes must be tightly closed with lids and left to cool at room temperature, and only then they can be removed to other blanks.
Attention: if you don’t want to pickle pickled grapes for the winter or don’t want it to lose its appearance (so that the skin doesn’t burst), do not sterilize the jars with prefabs, do this before you put spices and fruits in them, and then store they are only in the refrigerator.
In any case, the pickled grapes will be ready through 3 days.

Step 4: Serve the pickled grapes.


Pickled grapes need to be served with meat dishes or cook cheese canapes with it, or add it to cabbage.
