Ingredients for making cucumber and avocado salad

  1. Fresh cucumbers 2 pieces

Making cucumber and avocado salad:

Step 1: Prepare the cucumbers.


Rinse the cucumbers thoroughly with warm running water, and then dry the vegetables with disposable paper towels to remove excess moisture from their peel. Speaking of peel, be sure to check what it tastes like, and if you feel bitterness, be sure to cut it with a knife so as not to spoil the salad. Cut the cucumbers thus prepared into small cubes or slices.

Step 2: Preparing the Avocado


Cut avocados along, without cutting to the bone, and then just spread them in different directions, gradually turning around the center. Release the pulp of the fruit from the peel, remove the hard bone. Cut the avocados into small cubes, preferably to match the size of the pieces of cucumber.

Step 3: Prepare the greens.


Rinse cilantro greens with running warm water, pat dry with towels, and then cut into small pieces.

Step 4: Prepare the green onions.


Rinse the onion, dry it. Lay on a cutting board, remove the whitish base, cut the rest across into rings.

Step 5: Prepare the garlic.


Peel the garlic clove and cut into small cubes. You can, of course, knead it in a mortar or a special press, but I prefer a knife.

Step 6: Mix the salad.


Pour slices of avocado and cucumber on a plate, add cilantro, onion, garlic, black pepper and salt. Mix gently so as not to stretch the flesh of the avocado. Squeeze the juice from the lemon and lime directly into the salad, while holding a tablespoon of seeds and flesh so that they do not fall into the salad. Mix all the ingredients together again. Cover the salad bowl with cling film, refrigerate and insist for 15-30 minutes. Once the necessary time has passed, serve the finished salad to the table.

Step 7: Serve the cucumber and avocado salad.


Serve the ready-made salad of cucumbers and avocados as an independent dish. Enjoy its light taste, combining juicy crispy cucumber and oily avocado pulp, seasoned with fragrant greens and citrus juice.

Recipe Tips:

- To make cucumber and avocado salad more satisfying, add one or two boiled chicken eggs to it.

- A couple of tomatoes, more as decoration, will not hurt either, especially if they are miniature cherry tomatoes.
