Oven liver with rice


Oven ingredients for cooking liver with rice

Cooking the liver with rice in the oven:

Step 1: prepare the chicken liver.


Defrost chicken liver, leaving it at room temperature for a while. After that, thoroughly rinse offal with cold water and clear of films, simultaneously examining each, suddenly, after mechanical cleaning, which the liver underwent before packing, bile ducts remained.

Step 2: boil chicken liver.


Heat some water in a saucepan. When it boils, put the liver in it and cook for 5-7 minutes. Then catch the ingredients with a slotted spoon, cool and cut into small cubes.

Step 3: prepare the vegetables.


Peel the onion and garlic, rinse with cool water and cut these ingredients into small cubes, until mixing with each other.
Peel the carrots, rinse thoroughly with running water and grate on a medium grater.

Step 4: prepare the pic.


Pour rice into a saucepan or colander and rinse thoroughly with a cold stream of tap water. Rinse the cereal until the liquid is completely transparent.

Step 5: fry vegetables with rice.


Heat the pan and the vegetable oil on it. Add onion slices and grated carrots. Stir all the time, simmer vegetables on medium heat over a period of 5-7 minutes.

Pour rice to softened and colorless vegetables. Stir without adding heat. Add chopped garlic, dried or fresh herbs, salt and black pepper. Simmer everything for 3-5 minutes, not forgetting to stir occasionally. During this time, the contents of the pan should be warmed up properly and be ready for the next step.

Step 6: bake chicken liver with rice in the oven.


Set the oven to warm up 180 degrees Celsius. Then pour half of the mixture of rice and vegetables into the baking pan, level it with a tablespoon. Lay out the slightly boiled and chopped chicken liver with the next layer, and cover it with the remnants of rice with carrots and onions on top. Flatten again and fill 3 cups boiled hot water. Cover the baking sheet with foil from above, tightly fixing it at the edges. Put everything in the oven bake on 40-45 minutes.
Attention: if you want the dish to turn out a little boiled, and the rice is not so dry and crumbly, add not 3, but 4 cups of boiling water.
Remove the finished chicken liver with rice from the oven, remove the foil and mix. After which the dish can be served to the table.

Step 7: serve the liver with rice.


Chicken liver, cooked with rice and vegetables in the oven, is hearty, nutritious and healthy. Serve the dish hot while decorating with a small amount of tomato sauce or sour cream.

- To taste, you can add a mixture of Provencal herbs instead of the usual greens.

- It turns out very tasty if you bake the liver with rice not in the form, but in pots.
