Cooking mince pie in a slow cooker:
Step 1: prepare the butter.
We spread the butter on a cutting board and, using a knife, chop in small pieces.
Then we move them to the Turk and put on a small fire. Constantly stirring the contents of the container with a tablespoon, bring the oil to a liquid state. Immediately after that, turn off the burner, and pour the melted component into a deep bowl. Let it cool slightly.
Step 2: prepare the flour mixture for the dough.
Pour flour into a medium bowl through a sieve. Attention: Be sure to do this action, because it is thanks to him that our dough will turn out airy and tender. That's because the flour in the process is saturated with oxygen and gets rid of excess lumps. And we need this!
Now add salt and dry yeast to the container and, using a tablespoon, mix everything well until smooth.
Step 3: prepare the dough.
Pour milk into a bowl with melted butter and mix well with a tablespoon until smooth. Then, in small portions, we begin to pour out the flour mixture and at the same time beat everything with a hand whisk so that no lumps form. When the mass begins to become dense, we continue to knead the dough with clean hands. We should have an elastic soft dough. Important: if it still sticks to your hands, do not add flour, but simply grease your hands with a small amount of vegetable oil and form a ball out of it. We cover the bowl with the dough with a kitchen cloth and set in a warm place for 30 minutes. During this time, it should increase 2-3 times. It should be so!
Step 4: prepare the onion.
Until we get the dough, we will prepare the filling for the pie. First of all, with a knife, peel the onions from the husks and thoroughly rinse under running water. We lay out the component on a cutting board and finely chop into cubes. Pour the chopped onion into a free plate.
Step 5: prepare the filling.
In a clean medium bowl, spread the minced pork, finely chopped onions, as well as salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Using a tablespoon, mix everything thoroughly until a homogeneous mass is formed.
Now pour a little vegetable oil into the pan and put on medium heat. When it warms up well, put the meat filling here and, occasionally stirring with a wooden spatula, lightly fry. It takes me about 10-12 minutes. During this time, all the liquid comes out of the minced meat, evaporates, and the onion becomes soft and slightly golden. At the end, turn off the burner, and set the pan aside.
Step 6: prepare the mince pie in the slow cooker.
Lubricate the bottom and walls of the multicooker pan with a small piece of butter and leave it aside for a short while.
Now we take out the risen dough from the bowl and put it on the kitchen table, crushed with flour. With a knife, cut it on 1/3 and 2/3 parts.
Using a rolling pin, we roll a larger piece into a flat cake approximately 1 centimeter (most importantly, not more). Attention: the diameter of the circle should be larger than the bottom of the pan 3-4 centimeters.
The second piece of dough is also rolled out to the state of a cake and then we begin to form a cake.
We lay out a large cake on the bottom of the pan so that its edges go onto the walls of the container. It will be our baking sides. Now, with the help of a tablespoon, put the meat filling here and level it so that it evenly covers the dough. From above, cover everything with a second flat cake and be sure to pinch the edges of the cake with clean hands. Important: for steam to escape from the baking, be sure to pierce it in several places with a fork.
Next, set the pan in the slow cooker and turn it on Heat Maintenance. 3 minutes keep the cake in this state, and then turn off the program. Then we cover the appliance with a lid and leave the baking more for 30 minutes. She must rise, otherwise the pie will not work.
After the allotted time, turn on baking mode for 50 minutes and finally prepare our dish. When the signal sounds, open the multicooker lid, and take out the pie from there using the steam tray. Quickly turn it over to the other side and put it back into the pan. Extend baking mode still for 20 minutes. This must be done so that the cake is well browned on all sides. At the end, turn off the appliance from the network, and get the baked goods in the same way and set aside. Let it cool slightly.
Step 7: serve the mince pie in the multicooker.
When the cake cools slightly, transfer it to a special plate and, using the knife, cut into portions.
Serve pastries at the dinner table along with tea, coffee and other hot drinks. The pie turns out to be so tasty and satisfying that they can easily be treated to the household for breakfast or dinner, without offering anything else.
Bon appetit to all!
- instead of minced pork, you can also take beef, chicken, turkey or generally mixed;
- if you don’t have so much free time, then you can use the filling raw. It is baked well enough with the test, so you can not worry about it. I just love fried minced meat in pies;
- if you are not comfortable kneading the dough in a bowl, then it can be laid out on the kitchen table. After that, it is necessary to form a ball from it and put it back into the bowl, covering everything with a kitchen towel. Then it will reach faster and increase in size;
- In addition to minced meat and onions, you can add fried mushrooms and carrots to the filling. So the cake is much more satisfying.
