Step 1: Prepare the oatmeal.

Then transfer it to a deep bowl, add sour cream, sugar and salt there. Using a mixer, mix together all of the above ingredients. Mix ground oatmeal and soda in a separate bowl. Important: you do not need to extinguish it, as sour cream is present in the test. Now is the time to mix loose ingredients with wet ones. Therefore, add oatmeal and soda to the cream-oil mixture and knead the dough. In order to make the mass thicker, gradually add wheat flour there to achieve the desired consistency, which will keep its shape well and not spread. Do not forget also that the dough should be thoroughly mixed, in order to avoid the formation of flour lumps.

Step 3: Bake oatmeal cookies.

Preheat the oven to 180-200 degrees Celsius. Prepare a baking sheet by simply sprinkling it with a small amount of wheat flour, or by placing parchment paper on it for baking. Scoop or pinch a small amount of dough, roll it in your hands and flatten it to form a cake. To prevent the mass from sticking to your hands, sprinkle them with flour. Place raw dough pieces a short distance from each other so that they do not stick together during cooking. Put the cookies to bake on 15-20 minutes or until they are covered with a golden crust. After that, take out the prepared cookies and remove them from the pan using the spatula. Transfer the finished treat to a serving dish and start serving.

Step 4: Serve the oatmeal cookies.

Oatmeal cookies can be eaten immediately, as soon as they cool slightly, in which case they will be soft and tender, or a little later, when they become dried and crunchy. I hope you enjoy these cookies just as much as I do.
